Best way to inline editing without plugin editor and jquery

I use datatables 2.0 without native javascript and server side rendering.
I need to not use jquery and paid pluging.

What is the best way to do this ?

I hope you won't take it badly if I don't write a free example for you that doesn't help support the work I do .

The DataTables API is fully documented if you want to develop your own editing solution though.
