This question has been asked by "obrienj" in 2017 without positive answer. I also work offline a lot. I use several offline documentation viewer like Zeal which have some library/api/framework/tools documentation like codeigniter, html, laravel, sql, python, jquery etc that can be accessed offline. Its 2024, is datatable manual/documentation available offline?

No, I'm afraid there is no offline documentation at this time. It's just not something that comes up very often and I usually work online myself, so I haven't devoted any time it.
That said it is something I would like to see happen and it has been on my mind. I will look into it in future as time allows.
The reference documentation for DataTables is all available as part of the open source repo, so someone could build offline docs if they so wished.

How are docs built? That is, how do they get from the XML format to html?
I use various scripts I've written to do that, which are not open source I'm afraid. However, I presume that Zeal needs a specific format, so my XML -> HTML formatted wouldn't be useful?
I tried to find information on how to include more docsets in Zeal, but I can't see anything on their website.

Ah - It uses Dash so yeah, my transformers wouldn't be useful anyway. It will need new ones.
